Frequently Asked Questions
A guided conversation.
A conversation, with Hela leading the way.
Structure
-
It is the name under which this creative ecosystem is developed and presented. Conceptually it does not work like a traditional studio: the branches have their own autonomy and purpose, but share criteria, infrastructure and universe. The name also designates one of those branches, the software Realm; when the two need to be told apart, the distinction is between the ecosystem and the Realm.
-
Because sharing an origin does not mean sharing a function. Software, literature, music, education, games and physical design need different languages to exist well. Realms give each branch its own identity without breaking the ecosystem’s continuity.
-
Not exactly. It is an autonomous territory inside the same ecosystem: it has its own identity, catalogue and language, but shares infrastructure, criteria and connections with the others. A Crown Red Editorial character can appear in GhostBox Records, and a GhostBox Records soundtrack can be the score of a Devil Doll Entertainment game.
Criteria
-
Because specificity is part of the design. Sxnnyside Ecosystem starts from “what concrete problem is worth solving, and for whom?”. The size of the audience does not decide whether an idea deserves to exist.
-
No. Usefulness is one possible criterion. A project can exist to solve a problem, teach something, explore a constraint, tell a story or find out how far an idea can go. What it does need is a reason.
-
Not everything built has to become a product. Some projects exist to test an idea or find a limit; others simply stop feeling like your own. Cancelling something does not erase the work it produced, but it does not oblige the ecosystem to keep it either.
Professional Work
-
Yes, when there is something real to build. Collaboration can be development, design, strategy, product or a mix, and it starts by deciding whether there is a problem worth solving together. The cases are in Collabs.
-
Both: intention counts more than size. Work has been done with individual projects, small studios and larger organizations. The criterion is always the same: is there something real to build here?
-
Projects whose main goal is to copy an existing solution with no reason to make it different. You do not need a revolutionary idea; you do need a reason to build it.
Sxnnyside Scholarships
-
The ecosystem’s educational branch — software and tools for teachers, systems students and people learning to build. The focus: making teaching easier without simplifying what is learned.
-
It depends on each tool. Some are freely accessible, others have their own distribution model. Information about each one is in its section within the Realm.
-
Primarily secondary and higher education — but the tools are not designed for a specific level but for a specific problem faced by educators. If the problem exists in your context, the tool probably applies.
Philosophy
-
That a tool can deliberately reject features its user does not need, and that a small idea can be enough to justify a product. Nothing here is built to be liked by everyone.
-
No. “Developer” describes a way of relating to ideas: building, iterating, taking apart, testing and turning concepts into real things. That is why the ecosystem can produce software, literature, music, games, education or physical design with the same identity.
-
The business can change the scope, the price, the channel or the pace. It should not arbitrarily decide what deserves to exist. If a commercial decision removes the reason a project exists, the decision deserves a second look.
Contact Expectations
-
Depends on the channel. WhatsApp responds within hours. Email can take a couple of days. Every inquiry with real purpose gets a response.
-
No. You need context: what you have, what you need, what you are trying to achieve and why you think there is something to build together. A perfect brief does not replace a poorly framed idea.
-
A direct conversation sets the path. When there is alignment on what matters, everything else is structured along the way. Without operational fit, it is best to know early.
